Maurice performs old Belfast songs as part of an evening of history, drama, poetry and song at the Linen Hall Library, Belfast, remembering the struggles of Belfast’s workers in 1932.
Jane has launched her own You Tube channel with a live recording from the Lugano Folk Festival of the Richard Rowley poem ‘Up in the Mountains’ which she set to music The song is illustrated with a slide-show of photos of her native Mourne Mountains taken by Gerry Heatley. 10th April 2016 Maurice is interviewed by John Anderson for his BBC Radio Ulster programme about traditional Belfast songs and how they illuminate the history and development of the city. The North Belfast Community Choir perform a selection of Belfast folk songs learned from Maurice’s book ‘Belfast, City of Song’.
